يا ناهِرينَ مَساكينَ المُحِبّينا

يا ناهِرينَ مَساكينَ المُحِبّينا

لَسنا لِذَلِكَ مِنكُم مُستَحِقّينا

لَسنا لِذَلِكَ مِنكُم مُستَحِقّينا

O you who rebuke the wretched lovers,

O you who deny the suffering lovers,

We do not deserve this from you.

We do not deserve this from you.

قَد اِستَجَرنا لَكُم مِن جورِكُم فَخُذوا

قَد اِستَجَرنا لَكُم مِن جورِكُم فَخُذوا

يا جائِرينَ بِأَيدي المُستَجيرينا

يا جائِرينَ بِأَيدي المُستَجيرينا

We have appealed to you for refuge from your oppression; so take

We have sought refuge from your tyranny, so take

O oppressors, those seeking refuge by the hand.

O tyrants, the hands of those seeking refuge.

ما الخَوفُ أَن تَقتُلونا في مَحَبَّتِكُم

ما الخَوفُ أَن تَقتُلونا في مَحَبَّتِكُم

وَإِنَّما الخَوفُ مِن أَن تَأثَموا فينا

وَإِنَّما الخَوفُ مِن أَن تَأثَموا فينا

We do not fear that you may kill us for loving you;

We do not fear that you will kill us for our love,

But we fear only that you may incur sin on our account.

Rather we fear that you will sin against us.
