ياO مَنone who لَهُfor him مِنfrom بُعدِهِhis distance بُعدُdistance
وَمَنand one who لَهُfor him عَنaway from صَدِّهِhis turning away صَدُّturning away
O you who are distant from your own distance,
O You Who are beyond reach, beyond grasp,
And who turn away from your own turning away,
And You Who cannot be deterred, cannot be stopped,
جُملَةُthe sum of ماwhat عِنديwith me وَتَفصيلُهُand its detail
أَنَّكَthat you مَولىmaster وَأَناand I عَبدُslave
The sum of what I have to say, and its details,
In sum and in detail all I have,
Is that you are the master, and I the slave.
Is that You are my Master, and I Your servant.
فَدُمso remain عَلىin الوُدِّlove لِمَنfor one who لاnot يَرىsees
بِعَينِthrough the eye of مَنone who لَيسَthere is not لَهُfor him وُدُّlove
So remain constant in love toward one who does not see
So let affection flow, for one who does not see
Through the eye of one who has no love.
With the eyes of one who bears no affection.
