O one whose good fortune's tribe
Strengthens the hand of his honor,

With bracelets from the adornments of his deeds.

The sickness of staying has worn down one
Whose illness's cure lies in your palm.
وَشَعريand my verse رَسولِيَmy envoy فيin حاجَتيmy need

And my verse is my envoy in my need,
For I know its great, familiar boldness.

And here it is, having come in haste;
So sign for the settlement of its affairs.

Yet my description of you has traveled from me upon
Praise that roams at its swift trot.

And, as you always single me out for favor,
It is favored with the camel-saddles of its peers.
