    Necks of boughs in necklaces of pearl,

    And the life of spreading trees in headbands of gold,

    And eyes of unworked gold in sockets of silver,

    And cheeks of pearl in faces of chrysolite.

    مِن كُلِّ مُبيَضِّ الطِرازِ مُوَرَّدِ

    So delight in the finest garb their cups have donned,

    Of every white-trimmed, rose-tinted bloom;

    Especially since the violet has imitated

    Blue eyes that have availed themselves of antimony kohl.
