إِذا خِفتَ عُقبى عِتابَ الَّذي

يُكَدِّرُ أَخلاقَهُ الصافِيَه

If you fear what may follow from reproaching the one

If you fear the consequences of reproaching someone

whose unclouded nature it would cloud,

whose pure disposition it would cloud,

فَصَبراً عَلَيهِ كَصَبرِ الفَتى

فَصَبراً عَلَيهِ كَصَبرِ الفَتى

عَلى الكَيِّ في طَلَبِ العافِيَه

عَلى الكَيِّ في طَلَبِ العافِيَه

then be patient with him, as a young man is patient
