أَحسِنhow beautiful بِداريis my home إِذاwhen لاحَتcome into view مَجالِسُهاits sitting rooms
وَقَدand indeed خَلَعتُI have bestowed عَلَيهاupon it خَيرَthe finest مَلبوسِattire
How lovely my home is when its sitting rooms come into view,
Now that I have clothed it in the finest attire:
كَأَنَّهاas though it نُسِجَتwere woven مِنfrom ريشِthe feathers of طاووسِa peacock
Radiant, gleaming carpets of every kind,
As though woven from peacock feathers.
إِذاwhen جَلَستُI sit عَلَيهاupon it ظَلتُI remain مُبتَهِجاdelighted
كَأَنَّas though جالِسٌseated فيin عَرشِthe throne of بِلقيسِBilqis
When I sit upon them, I remain delighted,
As though seated on the throne of Bilqis.
