أَنجَدَ بِالمَكرُماتِ وَاِنتَصَرا

أَنجَدَ بِالمَكرُماتِ وَاِنتَصَرا

حَتّى اِستَقالَ الزَمانُ وَاِعتَذَرا

حَتّى اِستَقالَ الزَمانُ وَاِعتَذَرا

He gave aid through noble deeds and prevailed,

He triumphed with generosity and gained victory

until Time begged pardon and apologized.

Until time itself submitted and made amends

لَيثٌ إِذا التاثَ حادِثٌ وَأَتى

لَيثٌ إِذا التاثَ حادِثٌ وَأَتى

إِلَيهِ ظُفرٌ مِن رَأيِهِ ظَفِرا

إِلَيهِ ظُفرٌ مِن رَأيِهِ ظَفِرا

A lion: when a calamity grows tangled and there comes

A lion, when faced with adversity, would

to it a claw of his judgment, he triumphs.

Attain success through his own wisdom and prevail

بَينا تَرى دِرعَهُ لَهُ فَلَكاً

بَينا تَرى دِرعَهُ لَهُ فَلَكاً

حَتّى تَرى وَجهَهُ لَهُ قَمَرا

حَتّى تَرى وَجهَهُ لَهُ قَمَرا

No sooner do you see his armor as a celestial sphere around him

You would see his armor like a sphere around him

than you see his face as its moon.

You would see his face like a full moon shining
