مِن عِندَنا تُؤتى الحِكَم

مِن عِندَنا تُؤتى الحِكَم

وَبِنا تَأَدَّبَتِ الأُمَم

وَبِنا تَأَدَّبَتِ الأُمَم

From us, words of wisdom are imparted.

From us is brought wisdom

And through us, the nations learned refinement.

And through us nations became cultured

وَلَنا نَوالٌ هاطِلٌ

وَلَنا نَوالٌ هاطِلٌ

يَنهَلُّ مِن سُحبِ الهِمَم

يَنهَلُّ مِن سُحبِ الهِمَم

And ours is bounty pouring down,

For us there is abundant bounty

Raining from the clouds of lofty aspirations.

That flows from the clouds of ambition

قَومٌ إِذا اِستَرفَدتَهُم

قَومٌ إِذا اِستَرفَدتَهُم

تَرَكوكَ مِن أَهلِ النِعَم

تَرَكوكَ مِن أَهلِ النِعَم

A people who, if you ask them for aid,

A people, if you seek their help

Leave you among those blessed with abundance.

Leave you from among the gracious

لَولا هُمُ لِلناسِ ما

لَولا هُمُ لِلناسِ ما

عَرَفوا الطَريقَ إِلى الكَرَم

عَرَفوا الطَريقَ إِلى الكَرَم

Were it not for them, people would not

If not for them, mankind would not

Have known the path to generosity.
