    By the scattering of stock blossoms among its branches—

    nay, by the quivering of water in its channels!

    Will you not take your morning draught? For the pearls of dew are now

    trickling down from atop its fountain

    to the ground; if you let your gaze roam, it is bewildered by

    the crystal of its cups and by its coral,

    فَاِشرَب مُتَوَّجَةً عَلى تيجانِه

    especially while the chrysanthemum is crowned;

    so drink foam-crowned wine above its crowns.
