وَشَبابٌand youth يَبلىwears away وَعُمرٌand a life يَبيدُperishes
A wasted body and feeble patience,
A thin body and weak patience
And youth that wears away, and a life that perishes.
Youth fades and life perishes
لَيتَwould that شِعريmy knowledge مَتىwhen أَقولُI say لِنَفسيto myself

Would that I knew when I shall say to myself:
I wish I knew when to say to myself
Sweet is eternity in the paradise of union.
Eternity has come in the garden of union
