O you, puffed up by a dirham from your levy,
O you who with a dirham is deceived and vain
Begone! For among us you are vanquished.
Lower your gaze, for among us you are disdained

Shame on the cockroach that does not know its worth (probable reading),
It's shameful for the secret-keeper to not know his value
And its worth is well known to us.
Yet to us, destiny is well-known and ascertained
