آلَ مُراكشٍ لقد غَشَّكُم مُح
تَسِبٌmarket inspector (final fragment) أنتمُyou (plural) علىupon العِلمِknowledge بِاسمِهof his name
تَسِبٌ أنتمُ على العِلمِ بِاسمِه
O people of Marrakesh, you have indeed been cheated by a market
inspector; you know his name.
سَعَّرَhe set prices for المُبتاعاتِthe purchased goods طُرّاًall of them وماand did not عَرَّturned aside (first fragment)
سَعَّرَ المُبتاعاتِ طُرّاً وما عَرَّ
جَturned aside (final fragment) عنfrom سِعرِthe price of أُختِهhis sister معَalong with أُمِّهhis mother
جَ عن سِعرِ أُختِه معَ أُمِّه
He priced all the goods, and did not turn
aside from the price of his sister along with his mother.
