لقد كُنتَ فينا أجلَّ طَبِيبِ

لقد كُنتَ فينا أجلَّ طَبِيبِ

لِما قد أصابَ وما سَيُصِيبُ

لِما قد أصابَ وما سَيُصِيبُ

Indeed, you have been among us the most eminent physician

You were the best healer among us

for what has afflicted us and what will afflict us.

For what has befallen and what will yet befall

والآن سترحَلُ عنا فهل

والآن سترحَلُ عنا فهل

لداءِ فِراقكَ عنَّا طبِيب

لداءِ فِراقكَ عنَّا طبِيب

And now you will leave us—so is there

And now you will depart from us so is there

a physician for the malady of your parting from us?

A cure for the malady of your loss to us, healer
