Eager for knowledge, attentive

Eager for knowledge, awake

على كلِّ ما قد دَرَستُ ومَا

على كلِّ ما قد دَرَستُ ومَا

بِغَيرِه لي كَان مُشتَبِها

بِغَيرِه لي كَان مُشتَبِها

To all that I had studied, and to what

To all that I had studied and what

Had been confused with something else in my mind.

To me without it was obscure
