فَاروقُ لا تَتَّخِذ إسما تُخالِفُهُ

فَاروقُ لا تَتَّخِذ إسما تُخالِفُهُ

فَأَنتَ مِن سَفَهٍ والإِسمُ مِن رَشَدِ

فَأَنتَ مِن سَفَهٍ والإِسمُ مِن رَشَدِ

Faruq, do not adopt a name you belie;

O Farouq do not take a name that opposes you

for you embody folly, while the name embodies sound judgment.

For you are of foolishness while the name is of wisdom
