مَن قالَ عَنِّي بَأنِّي

يَومَ القِيامةَ أَخسَر

يَومَ القِيامةَ أَخسَر

Whoever says of me that I

Who said that I

will suffer loss on the Day of Resurrection,

On Judgement Day will lose

وَأَنَّني بِذُنُوبي

وَأَنَّني بِذُنُوبي

إِلى جَهَنَّمَ أُحشَر

إِلى جَهَنَّمَ أُحشَر

and that, because of my sins,

And that because of my sins

I will be herded into Hell—

To Hell I will be cast?

مُر يا جَهولُ وَدَعني

مُر يا جَهولُ وَدَعني

أَنا بِرَبِّيَ أَخبَر

أَنا بِرَبِّيَ أَخبَر

pass on, ignorant one, and leave me;

Pass on, O ignorant one, and leave me be

I know my Lord better.

I will speak to my Lord myself
