بالله بِسحر مُقلَتِكَ النَّشوَى

بالله بِسحر مُقلَتِكَ النَّشوَى

وهُوَ القَسَمُ البَرُّ العظيمُ الَفتوَى

وهُوَ القَسَمُ البَرُّ العظيمُ الَفتوَى

By God, by the magic of your intoxicated eye—

By God, by the magic of your languishing eyes,

And it is the righteous oath, mighty in its ruling—

The greatest, most righteous oath,

لا تَسمع عنِّي قولَ مَن قالَ سلا

لا تَسمع عنِّي قولَ مَن قالَ سلا

في ثَغرِكَ مِن أينَ منهُ السَّلوى

في ثَغرِكَ مِن أينَ منهُ السَّلوى

Do not heed anyone who says of me, 'He has forgotten';

Do not listen to what others say,

As for your mouth—how could forgetfulness come from it?

From your lips comes nothing but purity.
