يا اِبن الرسول بامك الزَهرا البتو

يا اِبن الرسول بامك الزَهرا البتو

ل وَجَدّك المَأمول عِند الباس

ل وَجَدّك المَأمول عِند الباس

O son of the Messenger, by your mother al-Zahra, the Virgin,

O son of the Messenger, your mother is Zahra the pure

and your grandfather, looked to in distress,

I found you the hoped for, at times of affliction

وَشَقيقُك الحسن الشَهيد المُرتَضى

وَشَقيقُك الحسن الشَهيد المُرتَضى

الطاهِر الاِخلاق وَالاِنفاس

الطاهِر الاِخلاق وَالاِنفاس

and your brother al-Hasan, the martyr, the chosen one,

And your brother is al-Hasan, the pleased martyr

pure in character and breath,

Of pure morals and breath

وَبِحَق حرمة جَدّك المَبعوث من

وَبِحَق حرمة جَدّك المَبعوث من

أَزكى العَناصِر رَحمَة لِلنّاس

أَزكى العَناصِر رَحمَة لِلنّاس

and by the sanctity due to your grandfather, sent from

And for the sanctity of your grandfather, sent

the purest stock as a mercy to humankind:

From the purest lineage, a mercy to people

عَطفا عَلَيّ فَاِنّ لي بِكَ نسبة

عَطفا عَلَيّ فَاِنّ لي بِكَ نسبة

الحُبّ أَسسها أَشَدّ أَساس

الحُبّ أَسسها أَشَدّ أَساس

Show me compassion, for I have a bond with you;

Have mercy upon me, for I have a connection to you

love founded it upon the firmest foundation.

Of love, built on the strongest foundation

وَعَلَيكَ بَعد الله أَشرف سَيد

وَعَلَيكَ بَعد الله أَشرف سَيد

بكَريم أَخلاق وَطيب غراس

بكَريم أَخلاق وَطيب غراس

And on you, after God, I rely, O noblest master,

And after God, you are the noblest master

with noble character and goodly roots.

Of generous morals and good roots

حاشى يَخيب مؤمّل يَرجوكَ في ال

حاشى يَخيب مؤمّل يَرجوكَ في ال

صَباح أَو يَدعوكَ في الاِغلاس

صَباح أَو يَدعوكَ في الاِغلاس

Far be it that a hopeful soul be disappointed, looking to you in the

Far be it that one who hopes in you in the

morning or calling upon you in the darkness before dawn.

Morning or calls you in distress be disappointed

يا رَبّ غوثا بِالَّذي عَوّذته

يا رَبّ غوثا بِالَّذي عَوّذته

من غاسِق يَسطو وَمن خناس

من غاسِق يَسطو وَمن خناس

O Lord, grant help, by him whom You protected

O Lord, help through the one whom you have protected

from darkness that assails and a retreating whisperer,

From the darkness that assaults and from the sneak

أَزكى الوَرى خلقا وَأَنداهُم يَدا

أَزكى الوَرى خلقا وَأَنداهُم يَدا

وَأَعَزَّهُم شَرَفا بِلا الباس

وَأَعَزَّهُم شَرَفا بِلا الباس

the purest of humankind in character, the most generous of hand,

The purest in creation, most generous in

and the most exalted in honor, beyond all doubt.

Giving and mightiest in glorious nobility

فَبِهِ وَبِالصَديق وَالفاروق والص

فَبِهِ وَبِالصَديق وَالفاروق والص

هرين وَالسَبطين وَالعباس

هرين وَالسَبطين وَالعباس

So through him, al-Siddiq, al-Faruq, and the two sons-in-law,

So by him, the truthful, the differentiating and the two

and the two grandsons and al-Abbas,

Moons and two grandsons and al-‘Abbas

وَأَخيه حمزة ثُم كُل الصحب وَال

وَأَخيه حمزة ثُم كُل الصحب وَال

آل الكِرام السادة الاكياس

آل الكِرام السادة الاكياس

and his brother Hamza, then all the Companions and the

noble household, the discerning masters,

The honourable family, the masters of bounty

أَدعوكَ يا خَير الاِنام مُؤمّلا

أَدعوكَ يا خَير الاِنام مُؤمّلا

منكَ الرِضا وَاِلّا من بَعد الياس

منكَ الرِضا وَاِلّا من بَعد الياس

I call upon you, O best of humankind, hoping

I call you, best of creation, hoping

for your favor—if not, who is there after despair?

For your approval, else after despair

وَرَجايَ أَنك لا تَخيب قاصِداً

وَرَجايَ أَنك لا تَخيب قاصِداً

وَتَجير كُلّ مُؤَمّل وَتُواسى

وَتَجير كُلّ مُؤَمّل وَتُواسى

And my hope is that you will not disappoint a seeker,

And my hope that you do not disappoint one who purposefully

and that you shelter every hopeful soul and offer solace.

Seeks and bring aid to each hoper and console

صَلّى عَلَيكَ اللَه رَبّ العَرشِ ما

صَلّى عَلَيكَ اللَه رَبّ العَرشِ ما

ضَرَبتَ لك الاخماس في الاِسداس

ضَرَبتَ لك الاخماس في الاِسداس

May God, Lord of the Throne, bless you as long as

May God bless you, Lord of the Throne, for as long

you multiply fifths by sixths for yourself.

As the fifth and the sixties alternate
