Have you a way to restore youth,
Is there a way back to youth restored?
or an explanation for its graying?
Or do you have an interpretation for old age?

In it is a rising, and every rising has a setting

Oh, if only he had avoided passion behind him
so one might say: neither naive nor reproached.
So it would be said no harm and no fault

Time has played with them, yet they do not change.
Time played with them and they underwent no change

They said: The abodes—and I paused—so increase me
my sorrow—worn-out traces and ruins.
Perplexity, frail traces, and ruins

My lips sipped that slakes my thirst

and longing is not shamed by coming uninvited.
Though yearning is not faulted for being importunate
