اللَهُ اِحمد شاكِراً

اللَهُ اِحمد شاكِراً

فَبَلاؤُهُ حُسن جَميل

فَبَلاؤُهُ حُسن جَميل

Praise God gratefully,

for His bounty is good and beautiful.

أَصبَحت مَستوراً مَعا

أَصبَحت مَستوراً مَعا

فى بَين أَنعمه اجول

فى بَين أَنعمه اجول

I have become sheltered and

well, roaming among His blessings.

خلواً من الاِخوانِ خف

خلواً من الاِخوانِ خف

الظَهر يَقنَعني القَليل

الظَهر يَقنَعني القَليل

Without companions, with an unburdened

back—little satisfies me.

حراً فَلا ضمن لِمَخلوق

حراً فَلا ضمن لِمَخلوق

عَلي وَلا سَبيل

عَلي وَلا سَبيل

Free, with no obligation to any creature

upon me, nor any hold over me.

سيان عِندي ذو الغِنى ال

سيان عِندي ذو الغِنى ال

متلاف وَالمُثري البَخيل

متلاف وَالمُثري البَخيل

Alike to me are the wealthy

spendthrift and the rich miser.

وَنَفيتُ بِالياسِ المُنى

وَنَفيتُ بِالياسِ المُنى

عَنّي فَطابَ لي القَليلُ

عَنّي فَطابَ لي القَليلُ

And by giving up hope I banished wishes

from myself, so little became sweet to me.

وَالناسُ كُلُّهُم لِمَن

وَالناسُ كُلُّهُم لِمَن

خفت مؤونَتِه خَليل

خفت مؤونَتِه خَليل

And everyone, to one

whose upkeep is light, is a friend.
