بِجَيش للعدا قامعْ
وَسيف في الوَغى ساطعْ
With an army that subdues the foes,
And a sword that gleams in battle,
لِدَولة مَجده رافعْ
سَعيد الإسم وَالطالعْ
His glory exalts a realm,
Sa‘id in name and auspicious in fortune.
بِجَيش مِن بني مصرِ
عَلَيهِ علامةُ النَصرِ
With an army of Egypt’s sons,
Upon it is the sign of victory,
تَلوح بِهمة الصَدرِ
سَعيد الإسم وَالطالعْ
Shining through the leader’s resolve,
Sa‘id in name and auspicious in fortune.
بجيش عِندَ إِقدامِهْ
لَهُ فَتك بأخصامِهْ
With an army that, when it advances,
Deals deadly blows to its adversaries,
وَسَعيٍ تَحتَ أَعلامِهْ
سَعيد الإسم وَالطالعْ
And with striving beneath its banners,
Sa‘id in name and auspicious in fortune.
أَلا يا أَيُّها الكاملْ
وَيا مَن أَدحض الباطلْ
Hark, O you who are perfect,
And O you who have refuted falsehood,
بِعَدلٍ لِلوَرى شاملْ
سَعيد الإسم وَالطالعْ
With justice embracing all humankind,
Sa‘id in name and auspicious in fortune.
تَفاخر يا أَبا العليا
بِمُلكٍ تَزدَهي الأَحيا
Take pride, O father of eminence,
In a dominion—the living take pride
بِهِ في هذهِ الدُنيا
سَعيد الإسم وَالطالعْ
In it, in this world,
Sa‘id in name and auspicious in fortune.
