بِكَthrough you ياO أَمينAmin إِلىto السعودthe auspicious stars قَدindeed اِرتَقىrose
بِكَ يا أَمين إِلى السعود قَد اِرتَقى
نَجلٌa son شَريفnoble الأَصلlineage مِنfrom أَهلpeople of التُقىpiety
نَجلٌ شَريف الأَصل مِن أَهل التُقى
Through you, O Amin, to the auspicious stars has risen
A son of noble lineage, one of the pious.
نجلa son بَداappeared فيin حجةa year مَيمونةauspicious
نجل بَدا في حجة مَيمونة
وَبِرَوضand in the garden of مَصرٍEgypt غصنُهhis branch لَكَfor you أَورقاput forth leaves
وَبِرَوض مَصرٍ غصنُه لَكَ أَورقا
A son appeared in an auspicious year,
And in Egypt's garden his branch put forth leaves for you.
وَلَدىand at الولادةthe birth قُلتI said فيهِabout him مؤرخاًrecording the date
وَلَدى الولادة قُلت فيهِ مؤرخاً
ياO دَهرTime نُورthe light of محمدMuhammad قَدindeed أَشرَقاshone
يا دَهر نُور محمد قَد أَشرَقا
And at his birth I said of him, recording the date:
O Time, the light of Muhammad has shone!
