بِحسن الاختراع سَما أَريبٌ

بِحسن الاختراع سَما أَريبٌ

بِنُور قَريحة كَالحَق أَبلَجْ

بِنُور قَريحة كَالحَق أَبلَجْ

Through excellence in invention, a clever man rose high,

With excellence he devised, he flew high

With the light of a creative mind, radiant as truth.

With the light of his genius, bright like truth

وَفازَ من الوَرى بِجَزيل مَدح

وَفازَ من الوَرى بِجَزيل مَدح

عَلى ما صاغَهُ بِقَويم منهجْ

عَلى ما صاغَهُ بِقَويم منهجْ

And won abundant praise from humankind

And he won from the world abundant praise

For what he fashioned by a sound method.

For what he fashioned with upright method

وَقالَ مُخاطِباً لِلمَجد أَرّخ

وَقالَ مُخاطِباً لِلمَجد أَرّخ

رِسالة مُقبل في مَصر أَبهَجْ

رِسالة مُقبل في مَصر أَبهَجْ

And, addressing Glory, said, “Record the date:

And he said, addressing glory, date it -

Muqbil’s treatise in Egypt is most delightful.”
