The noble deeds of the chief, the heir apparent,

are, when reckoned, too great to count.

And from the hands of His Highness over humankind

have flowed seas that know no bounds.

And these homelands of his have gained what

they seek from his far-reaching justice.

And sovereignty and religion there both

    signal sincere affection for him.

And how could they not, when his counsels have become

in governance sharper than the swords of India?

And in passing judgment he gave the wronged man justice

against his adversary, and showered him with bounty.

May he never cease reviving every faded trace

of lofty deeds, as did his father and grandfather,

so long as every hopeful soul attains his hope

in a reign wedded to good fortune,

and my standing among people rises higher

through spreading praise that knows no end,

and so long as the wordplay of praise adorns

the collected verse of the humble servant Majdi, in his honor.
