ثاقب عاش في عَفاف وَصدقٍ

وَجهاد بِماضيات السُيوفِ

Thaqib lived in chastity and truthfulness,

Thaqib lived in chastity and truthfulness

And in combat with keen-edged swords.

And jihad with the swords of the past

وَسَعى نَحوَ رَبه في أَمان

وَسَعى نَحوَ رَبه في أَمان

بِاشتياق لِدانيات القُطوف

بِاشتياق لِدانيات القُطوف

And he hastened toward his Lord in safety,

And strove toward his Lord in safety

With longing for the low-hanging clusters of fruit.

Yearning for the vines of the bunches

فَتلقته حور جَنة عَدن

فَتلقته حور جَنة عَدن

بَينَ أَترابِها بِقَلب عَطوف

بَينَ أَترابِها بِقَلب عَطوف

Then the houris of the Garden of Eden welcomed him,

So the virgins of the Garden of Eden received him

Among their peers, with a tender heart.

Among their companions with a kind heart

ثُمَ قالَت في الخلد لِلفَوز أَرخ

ثُمَ قالَت في الخلد لِلفَوز أَرخ

ثاقب في رِحاب رؤف

ثاقب في رِحاب رؤف

Then, in eternity, they said, 'Record this triumph’s date:

Then she said in eternity for the winners relax

Thaqib is in the precincts of the Compassionate.'
