ياO سمىnamesake of ابنson of عمthe paternal uncle of خَيرthe best of الأَنامِmankind
يا سمى ابن عم خَير الأَنامِ
أَنتَyou بَينَamong الوَرىhumankind أجلّmost exalted إِمامِimam
أَنتَ بَينَ الوَرى أجلّ إِمامِ
O namesake of the cousin of the best of mankind,
You are the most exalted imam among humankind.
وَمنوفand Menouf العلاlofty glory بفضلكthrough your merit سادَتrose to eminence
وَمنوف العلا بفضلك سادَت
وَتحلّتand have been adorned عقودهاits necklaces بِنظامwith order
وَتحلّت عقودها بِنظام
And glorious Menouf has risen to eminence through your merit,
And its necklaces have been adorned with harmonious order.
كَيفَhow لاnot سَيديmy lord وَإنكand indeed you فيهاwithin it
كَيفَ لا سَيدي وَإنك فيها
كَعبةthe Kaaba of الطائفينthose who circumambulate ياO ابنson of الكرامthe noble
كَعبة الطائفين يا ابن الكرام
How could it be otherwise, my lord, when within it you are
The Kaaba of those who circle it, O son of the noble?
فَعليكso upon you السلامpeace ماas long as هامis enraptured مَجديMajdi
فَعليك السلام ما هام مَجدي
بِكَby you وَجداًin ardent love فيin يَقظةwakefulness وَمَنامand sleep
بِكَ وَجداً في يَقظة وَمَنام
So peace be upon you as long as Majdi is enraptured
By you in ardent love, awake and asleep.
