رُتَب العز وَالبَها وَالسِيادهْ
O namesake of al-Khalil, may you ever ascend
O summit of glory, you continue to rise
the ranks of honor, splendor, and authority.
Through ranks of might, prestige, and rule

Noble in origin, you have become worthy
You were born noble, and have now become worthy
of the lofty station—indeed, of yet more.
Of the lofty station - nay, even beyond

Excellence has testified that your intellect is peerless,
Merit itself attests your peerless mind
and the masters of excellence are unanimous on this.
On which the masters of eloquence agree

Their consensus is sound - whoever among us dissents
would be like an apostate after professing the faith.
Is like an apostate after professing faith

Oh, what a post! It gloried when
What a rank you take pride in since
it became your slave, and you took hold of its reins.
You became a servant, though you wield leadership

How many a noble man attained full glory through it,
How many a glorious one you perfect in glory
when he ascended it and gained from it his desire.
By raising him up and granting what he sought

You ennobled him, though before this time
before this time, that you would be its pillar.
He hoped you would be his pillar

God's mercy, you are not disgraced
on lofty honors, which have come in submission.

Rather, lofty honors are congratulated on you, and God will have
Rather, the heights are disgraced by you, and refuse
nothing but the fulfillment of what He has willed.
Anything but fulfilling what you desired

Would that I excel in praise, so that
I might adorn myself by praising the lord of felicity.
I may adorn myself in praising the Lord of joy
