أَمَولايO my lord ياO شاهينShahin كَمhow many لَكyou have مِنof يَدa favor
أَمَولاي يا شاهين كَم لَك مِن يَد
لَهاfor it الشُكرgratitude بَينَamong العالمينall people جَوابُan answer
لَها الشُكر بَينَ العالمين جَوابُ
O my lord, O Shahin, how many favors you have bestowed,
for which gratitude among all people is the answer!
وَإِنيand indeed I مِنamong القَومthe people الذينwho قَدalready انتمواattached themselves
وَإِني مِن القَوم الذين قَد انتموا
إِلَيكَto you فَدونيso, before me لَيسَnot يُغلقis closed بابa door
إِلَيكَ فَدوني لَيسَ يُغلق باب
And indeed I am among those who have attached themselves
to you; thus no door is closed to me.
وَمَنand whoever كانَis بِالتَوفيقwith divine aid يَسعىstrives مؤمّلاًhoping
وَمَن كانَ بِالتَوفيق يَسعى مؤمّلاً
مِنfrom اللَهGod خَيراًgood لِلأَنامfor mankind يثابis rewarded
مِن اللَه خَيراً لِلأَنام يثاب
And whoever strives with divine aid, hoping
for good from God for mankind, is rewarded.
