يا رَب إِني عَن هَواهُ تائبُ

وَإِنَّني عَن حُبه لَرَاغبُ

وَإِنَّني عَن حُبه لَرَاغبُ

O Lord, I repent of my passion for him.

O Lord, I repent my passion

And I am indeed averse to loving him.

And from its love I now abstain

فَإِنَّهُ مُخادع مُلاعبُ

فَإِنَّهُ مُخادع مُلاعبُ

وَيَحلف الأَيمانَ وَهُوَ كاذبُ

وَيَحلف الأَيمانَ وَهُوَ كاذبُ

For he is a deceiver, a trifler.

For it is but a cheat that toys and feigns

And he swears oaths while he lies.

And swears false oaths, yet lies again
