قَد نَما في الكَون سَعدي

قَد نَما في الكَون سَعدي

وَبَلغت الآن قَصدي

وَبَلغت الآن قَصدي

My good fortune has grown in the world,

And now I have attained my aim.

وَبَدَت شَمس غُلام

وَبَدَت شَمس غُلام

خاله يَبدو بخدّ

خاله يَبدو بخدّ

And a sun of a boy has appeared,

His mole showing upon his cheek.

هُوَ إِبراهيم نجل

هُوَ إِبراهيم نجل

قَد أَتى مِن خَير جد

قَد أَتى مِن خَير جد

He is Ibrahim, a scion

Who has come from the noblest forebear.

وَالصَفا مُذ لاحَ أَرّخ

وَالصَفا مُذ لاحَ أَرّخ

أَنتَ بَدر التَمِّ عِندي

أَنتَ بَدر التَمِّ عِندي

And joy, when it dawned, marked the date:

“You are the full moon to me.”
