إِن شَهر الصِيام لَم يَبقَ فيهِ

إِن شَهر الصِيام لَم يَبقَ فيهِ

مِن لَياليه غَيرُ شَيء يَسيرِ

مِن لَياليه غَيرُ شَيء يَسيرِ

Indeed, in the month of fasting there remain

The month of fasting has little left

Only a scant few of its nights.

Of its nights, except a few

وَكَأَني بِهِ وَقَد سارَ عَنكُم

وَكَأَني بِهِ وَقَد سارَ عَنكُم

يَشتَكي مِن صَغيركم وَالكَبير

يَشتَكي مِن صَغيركم وَالكَبير

And I can almost see it, having departed from you,

It's as if I see it depart from you

Complaining of your young and old.

فَاِختموه بِالصالِحات لِتحظوا

فَاِختموه بِالصالِحات لِتحظوا

فيهِ عِندَ اللقا بِنَيل الأُجور

So conclude it with righteous deeds, that you may gain

So complete it with righteous deeds

Through it, at the meeting, the rewards.

To gain on Judgement Day ample rewards

وَاقبلوا النصح وَاِسمَعوا وَأَطيعوا

وَاقبلوا النصح وَاِسمَعوا وَأَطيعوا

وَأَنيبوا إِلى اللَطيف الخَبير

وَأَنيبوا إِلى اللَطيف الخَبير

And accept counsel, and listen, and obey,

And accept advice, listen and obey

And turn in repentance to the Gentle One, the All-Aware,

And repent to the Subtle, All-Aware

كَي تَنالوا شَفاعة الطهر طه

كَي تَنالوا شَفاعة الطهر طه

كاشف الغمة البَشير النَذير

كاشف الغمة البَشير النَذير

So that you may obtain the intercession of the pure one, Taha,

That you may attain intercession of the Pure

Dispeller of distress, bearer of glad tidings and warner.
