بُشراك يا وَهبي بنجلٍ ناجبٍ

بُشراك يا وَهبي بنجلٍ ناجبٍ

هُوَ في مَطالع سَعدِهِ نعم الفَتى

هُوَ في مَطالع سَعدِهِ نعم الفَتى

Glad tidings to you, O Wahbi, of a gifted son!

Good tidings to you, O Wahbi, of a dutiful son

At the dawning of his good fortune, what a fine youth he is!

He is in the ascendant of his fortune, an excellent youth

وَالمَجد في رَمَضان قالَ مؤرّخاً

وَالمَجد في رَمَضان قالَ مؤرّخاً

حسن بِتَوفيق لجدّك قَد أَتى

حسن بِتَوفيق لجدّك قَد أَتى

And Glory said in Ramadan, marking the date:

And glory in Ramadan, the chronicler said

Hasan has indeed come, by grace, for your good fortune.

Hasan by the grace of your grandfather has come
