أَضاءَ بِنُوره أُفق التَهاني

Glad tidings to you for your nearness to a king

You bring glad tidings in your proximity to the King

Who illumined with his light the horizon of felicitations,

His light has illuminated the horizons of felicitations

وَمدَّ عَلى الأَنام ظَلالَ عَدلٍ

وَمدَّ عَلى الأَنام ظَلالَ عَدلٍ

بِتَوفيق يَدوم مَدى الزَمان

بِتَوفيق يَدوم مَدى الزَمان

And spread the shades of justice over humankind,

And spread over people the shades of justice

With success enduring for all time.

With lasting success as long as time continues

وَقلَّد مِنكَ جيدَك دُون سؤلٍ

وَقلَّد مِنكَ جيدَك دُون سؤلٍ

برتبتك الَّتي مِن صنف ثاني

برتبتك الَّتي مِن صنف ثاني

And adorned your neck without a request from you,

And conferred upon you, without asking, a necklace

With your rank, which is of the second class.

Of a rank that is of another genre

فَقم بِالواجبات لَهُ عَلى ما

فَقم بِالواجبات لَهُ عَلى ما

حَباك مِن الوَلاء كَما حَباني

حَباك مِن الوَلاء كَما حَباني

So fulfill your duties to him in return for what

So carry out your duties to him as

He has bestowed on you of his affection, as he bestowed on me.

The loyalty with which He has gifted me dictates

وَقُل مَجدي عَليك الدَهر يُثني

وَقُل مَجدي عَليك الدَهر يُثني

بِما يَحلو بِهِ نغم المَثاني

بِما يَحلو بِهِ نغم المَثاني

And say: "Majdi praises you for all time

And say, “My glory upon you time celebrates”

With what sweetens the melody of the lute strings."
