1. لَكَ البُشرى فَمولدك المُنيفُ

    لَهُ إقبالك الأَسنى حَليفُ

    Glad tidings to you, for your exalted birthday

    has your most splendid good fortune as its ally.

  2. وَمصرك يا أَبا العَلياء زادَت

    بِهِ شَرَفاً وَأَسعدها اللَطيف

    And your Egypt, O father of glory, has grown

    in honor through it, and the Gentle One has gladdened her.

  3. وَقالَت في الهَنا للعز أَرّخ

    سَعيد العَصر مَوسمه شَريف

    And in joy she said to Glory, “Record the date:

    The age’s fortunate one—his celebration is noble.”
