The earth has swayed with love once more,
The earth inclined again with passion
And confession has coursed through the hills and cold uplands.
And intimacy flowed through the hills and barren lands

وَلهَ الحَبُ أفؤد الطير في الغاب
وأغوىand seduced حتىeven قلوبَhearts الأسودthe lions
وأغوى حتى قلوبَ الأسود
Love has maddened the birds' hearts in the woods,
And for it is love, more wondrous than birds in the forest
And seduced even the hearts of lions.
And more tempting even to the hearts of lions

والسهلِ والربى والجرود
So songs of love echo in the valleys,
Songs of passion echo in the valleys
And the plain, the hills, and the barren heights,
And plains, hills and barren lands

Among the warblings of a content nightingale

And the complaints of a lovelorn bulbul

This is spring's bridal procession: an awakening
This is the melody of spring, awakening
From slumber, and a rousing from inertia.
From slumber and stillness

For the streaming light from every direction
So the ample radiance from every side
Spreads over the supple boughs;
Spreads on the laden branches

It makes color sprout wherever it falls,
Sprouting color where it falls
So colors are a glow from its outstretched thread.
For hues are rays from its outstretched thread

And here is Adam observing, perplexed
The surge of forces and the rebirth of existence.
The flow of forces and the birth of existence
