فمن ورِث الغنى فليصطنعه

فمن ورِث الغنى فليصطنعه

صنيعته ويجهد كل جهدِ

So whoever inherits wealth, let him cultivate it

He who inherits wealth, let him use it properly

as his own handiwork, and strive with all his might.

Acting rightly, striving with all his might

ولا يمنعه من حمدِ وشكر

ولا يمنعه من حمدِ وشكر

ولا يبخل به عن فعل رُشد

ولا يبخل به عن فعل رُشد

And let it not keep him from praise and gratitude,

Let him not refrain from praise and gratitude

nor let him begrudge it for doing what is right.

Nor be miserly in doing what is good
