إنّا دَعوناكَ عَلى اِنبِساطِ

إنّا دَعوناكَ عَلى اِنبِساطِ

وَالجوعُ قَد أَثَّرَ في الأَخلاطِ

وَالجوعُ قَد أَثَّرَ في الأَخلاطِ

Indeed, we have invited you in good cheer,

We called upon you as you lay sprawled out,

And hunger has already affected the bodily humors.

While hunger had contaminated dispositions.

فَاِن عَسى مِلتَ إِلى التَباطي

فَاِن عَسى مِلتَ إِلى التَباطي

صَفَعتُ بِالنَعلِ قَفا بقراطِ

صَفَعتُ بِالنَعلِ قَفا بقراطِ

So if, perchance, you are inclined to delay,

So if you incline towards coming together,

I shall slap Hippocrates on the nape with the sandal.

I will smack the skull of Hippocrates with my slipper!
