And how many a man, gloating over me after my death in ignorance,
How many a fool will gloat over me when I am dead,
draws his sword to wrong me after my passing!
Wielding his sword in tyranny when I am gone.
وَلَوand if عَلمhe knew المِسكينُthe poor wretch ماذاwhat يَنالُهُbefalls him

And if the poor wretch knew what would befall him
If the poor wretch but knew what will befall him,
from wrongdoing after I am gone, he would die before my death.
From the injustice after me, he would die before my death.
