ووجدت فيه شفاء قلبي المكمد
Your letter arrived, and I found comfort in its wording;
Your letter arrived, and I found relief in its words.
And found within it healing for my sorrow-stricken heart.
And I found in it healing for my grief-stricken heart.

نظر المريض إلى وجوه العود
I began to look among its lines
And I began to gaze between its lines,
As a sick man looks upon the faces of those visiting him.
As a sick person gazes at the faces of those visiting him.
