سُمّيتَ عيسى وَلَم تَظفَر بِمُعجِزَةٍ

وَلَم تُشابِههُ في عِلمٍ وَلا حَسَبِ

You were named Jesus, yet performed no miracles

Nor did you match his knowledge or ancestry

وَلا أَتَيتَ بِشِئٍ مِن فَضائِلِهِ

إِلّا بِأَنَّكَ مِن أُمٍّ بِغَيرِ أَبِ

Nor did you bring any of his virtues

Except that you were born of a mother without a father
