عَن ثارِها لا تَفتَأُ
For at your side are young men from among us
For you, we have youths
who never desist from their vengeance.

مِنهاfrom it الكِرامُthe noble تَجَزَّأواthey became parts
مِنها الكِرامُ تَجَزَّأوا
You are nothing but a whole
You are but a group
of which the noble are parts.
From which the generous are divided
إِنif صُلتَyou charge غادَرناwe leave behind العُداthe enemies (word begins)
إِن صُلتَ غادَرنا العُدا
ةَ(completes 'the enemies') بِكُلِّin every فَجٍّmountain pass تُفجَأُare taken unawares
ةَ بِكُلِّ فَجٍّ تُفجَأُ
If you charge, we shall leave the enemies
If you reconcile, the enemies will abandon us
caught unawares in every mountain pass.
Shattered open from every crevice
وَتَجَرَّعواand they gulped down غُصَصَchoking pangs المَنونِdeath
وَتَجَرَّعوا غُصَصَ المَنونِ
بِماbecause of what عَليهِupon it تَجَرَّأواthey dared
بِما عَليهِ تَجَرَّأوا
And they will gulp down death's choking pangs
And they will taste the bitterness of death
because of what they dared undertake.
For daring what they did
فَاِدرَأso repel بِناwith us نَحرَthe breast العَدُوthe enemy (word begins)
فَاِدرَأ بِنا نَحرَ العَدُو
وِ(completes 'the enemy') فَبِالأَقارِبِfor through kinsmen يُدرَأُhe is repelled
وِ فَبِالأَقارِبِ يُدرَأُ

إِنَّindeed الأُصولَthe roots وَإِنeven if تَباgrew distant (word begins)

فَالمَرءُfor a man يُرزَقُis granted ماwhat يَشاhe wishes (word begins)
فَالمَرءُ يُرزَقُ ما يَشا
