لاno حُبَّlove إِلّاexcept لِلحَبيبِfor the beloved الأَوَّلِthe first
لا حُبَّ إِلّا لِلحَبيبِ الأَوَّلِ
فَاِصرِفso turn هَواكَyour passion عَنِaway from الحَبيبِthe beloved الأَوَّلِthe first
فَاِصرِف هَواكَ عَنِ الحَبيبِ الأَوَّلِ
There is no love save for the first beloved;
There is no love except for the first beloved.
So turn your passion away from the first beloved.
So turn your passion away from the first beloved.
وَدَعِand leave العَتيقَthe old فَلِلجَديدِfor the new has حَلاوَةٌsweetness
وَدَعِ العَتيقَ فَلِلجَديدِ حَلاوَةٌ
تُنسيكَmakes you forget ماضيthe past of العَيشِlife بِالمُستَقبَلِthrough the future
تُنسيكَ ماضي العَيشِ بِالمُستَقبَلِ
Leave the old—for the new possesses a sweetness
And leave the old, for the new has a sweetness
That makes you forget life’s past through what lies ahead.
That makes you forget life's past through the future.
أَعلىthe highest of المَراتِبِthe ranks فيin الحِسابِreckoning أَخيرُهاtheir last
أَعلى المَراتِبِ في الحِسابِ أَخيرُها
فَقِسِso measure المِلاحَthe beauties عَلىaccording to حِسابِthe reckoning of الجُمَّلِabjad letter-values
فَقِسِ المِلاحَ عَلى حِسابِ الجُمَّلِ
The highest ranks in reckoning are the last of them;
The highest of the ranks in reckoning is the last;
So reckon beauties by the Abjad count.
So measure the beauties by abjad reckoning.
أَتَشُكُّdo you doubt فيabout أَنَّthat النَبِيَّthe Prophet مُحَمَّداًMuhammad
أَتَشُكُّ في أَنَّ النَبِيَّ مُحَمَّداً
خَيرُthe best of البَرِيَةِcreation وَهوَand he is آخِرُthe last مُرسَلِmessenger
خَيرُ البَرِيَةِ وَهوَ آخِرُ مُرسَلِ
