The rain said to the breeze, when
The snake said to the breeze, when
the blossoms remained busy with it,
The flowers were busy with it

عَلَيَّ مِنها لِسانُ حالي
“Do you not see how the earth praises

فَاِعجَبso marvel لِإِقرارِهاat her acknowledgment بِفَضليof my merit
فَاِعجَب لِإِقرارِها بِفَضلي

وَسُكرِها بي وَشُكرِها لي
So marvel at her acknowledgment of my merit,
How strange, her admission of my worth,
and her intoxication with me, and her thanks to me.”
Her rapture and thanks to me!”
