O you whose glorious deeds and lineage are pure,

And possessor of noble deeds and excellence,

And you who, whenever a guest seeks your protection,

Stand beside him like a sharp-bladed sword,

I complain to your shade, which shelters us,

Of the injustice of an oppressor steeped in ignorance.

After it has become widely known that I am your

Obedient servant in word and deed,

Can there occur, in an age like yours, such a

Deed from one like him against one like me?
