أَيا مَن حَكى فَضلَ عيسى المَسيحِ
غَداةَon the morning when حَكَتresembled عازِراًLazarus مُهجَتيmy soul
غَداةَ حَكَت عازِراً مُهجَتي
O you whose bounty mirrored Jesus the Messiah,
O you who mirrored the excellence of Jesus Christ,
on the morning when my soul mirrored Lazarus:
on the morning when my soul resembled Lazarus,
أَعَدتَyou restored لِيَto me الروحَthe spirit إِذwhen زُرتَنيyou visited me
أَعَدتَ لِيَ الروحَ إِذ زُرتَني
وَقَدwhile already يَئِسَhad lost hope الناسُthe people مِنof رَجعَتيmy return
وَقَد يَئِسَ الناسُ مِن رَجعَتي
you restored my spirit to me when you visited me,
you restored my spirit to me when you visited me,
after people had already despaired of my return.
while people had already lost hope of my return.
