ياO مَنwho لِجَمالِto the beauty of يوسُفٍJoseph قَدindeed وَرِثاinherited
يا مَن لِجَمالِ يوسُفٍ قَد وَرِثا
العاذِلُthe reproacher قَدindeed رَقَّsoftened لِحاليtoward my plight وَرَثىand took pity
العاذِلُ قَد رَقَّ لِحالي وَرَثى
O you who have inherited Joseph’s beauty,
O you who have inherited Joseph's beauty!
The two reproachers have softened at my plight and pitied me.
The reproacher has softened toward my plight and taken pity.
وَالناسُand the people تَقولُsay إِذwhen تَرىthey see حُسنَكَyour beauty ذاthis
وَالناسُ تَقولُ إِذ تَرى حُسنَكَ ذا
سُبحانَكَglory be to You ماnot خَلَقتَYou created هَذاthis عَبَثاin vain
سُبحانَكَ ما خَلَقتَ هَذا عَبَثا
And people, when they behold this beauty of yours, say:
And people say, when they see this beauty of yours:
“Glory be to You! You did not create this in vain.”
