يا بَياضَ البَياضِ أَنتَ مِنَ الأَع

يا بَياضَ البَياضِ أَنتَ مِنَ الأَع

يُنِ وَالقَلبِ في سَوادِ السَوادِ

يُنِ وَالقَلبِ في سَوادِ السَوادِ

O whiteness of whiteness, you are, in the eyes

O whiteness of whiteness, you are of my eyes

and the heart, within the blackness of blackness.

And heart in the blackness of blackness

طالَ شَوقي إِلَيكَ وَالسِرُّ خافٍ

طالَ شَوقي إِلَيكَ وَالسِرُّ خافٍ

عَن جَميعِ الأَنامِ وَالشَوقُ بادِ

عَن جَميعِ الأَنامِ وَالشَوقُ بادِ

My longing for you has lasted long, while the secret lies hidden

My longing for you has been so long, and the secret

from all humankind, though the longing is plain.

Is hidden from all people, though longing remains

فَلَئِن سِرتُ عَن حِماكَ وَحالَ ال

فَلَئِن سِرتُ عَن حِماكَ وَحالَ ال

شَوقُ ما بَينَنا بِغَيرِ مُرادِ

شَوقُ ما بَينَنا بِغَيرِ مُرادِ

So if I have journeyed from your sanctuary, and there has come

So if I conceal from you my zeal, and the state of

longing between us against my will,

Longing between us without intention

ما تَزَوَّدتُ مُذ رَحَلتُ سِوى الهَم

ما تَزَوَّدتُ مُذ رَحَلتُ سِوى الهَم

مِ فَلا تَجعَلَنهُ آخِرَ زادي

مِ فَلا تَجعَلَنهُ آخِرَ زادي

I have taken no provision since I departed but sorrow;

I have stocked since I left nothing but worry

so do not make it the last of my provisions.

So do not make it my final provision
