O king, noble in root and branch,

And from whose roots the bloodlines have flourished,

And who has gathered virtues and praise,

While wealth is dispersed in his hands.

How much you have borne in your quest for glory—

Burdens whose lightest part cannot be endured!

Do not fear if your two hands squander wealth,

For in them is concord in the cause of glory.

It does not harm the branch, while it is flourishing,

For the fruits and leaves to fall away.
