ياO حَبيبَbeloved الحَبيبِof the beloved دِنهُrequite him كَماas داrequited (first part)
يا حَبيبَ الحَبيبِ دِنهُ كَما دا
نَrequited (completion) مُحِبّيهِhis lovers مِنwith صُدودٍaversion وَهَجرِand estrangement
نَ مُحِبّيهِ مِن صُدودٍ وَهَجرِ
O beloved of the beloved, requite him as he
requited his lovers with aversion and estrangement.
ثُمَّthen مُرcommand طَرفَكَyour eye الصَحيحَsound بِأَنto يَأtake (first part)
ثُمَّ مُر طَرفَكَ الصَحيحَ بِأَن يَأ
خُذَtake (completion) مِنfrom طَرفِهِhis eye السَقيمِailing بِوِترِin vengeance
خُذَ مِن طَرفِهِ السَقيمِ بِوِترِ
Then command your sound eye to
take vengeance on his ailing eye.
جاءَhas come نَصرُthe aid of الإِلَهِGod وَالفَتحُand victory ليto me إِنif
جاءَ نَصرُ الإِلَهِ وَالفَتحُ لي إِن
دُمتَyou remain حَرباًat war لَهُwith him وَقُمتَand you rise بِنَصريto my aid
دُمتَ حَرباً لَهُ وَقُمتَ بِنَصري
God's aid and victory have come to me, if
you remain at war with him and rise to my aid.
أَنتَyou بَدرُthe full moon التَمامِof fullness فَاِجعَلso make لَناfor us بَيbetween (first part)
أَنتَ بَدرُ التَمامِ فَاِجعَل لَنا بَي
نَكَbetween you (completion) عَهداًa pact وَبَينَهُand with him حَربَthe battle of بَدرِBadr
نَكَ عَهداً وَبَينَهُ حَربَ بَدرِ
You are the full moon; so grant us
a pact with you, and with him the Battle of Badr.
