لَيسَ كُلَّ الأَوقاتِ يَجتَمِعُ الشَم

لَيسَ كُلَّ الأَوقاتِ يَجتَمِعُ الشَم

لُ ولا راجِعٌ لَنا ما يَفوتُ

لُ ولا راجِعٌ لَنا ما يَفوتُ

We are not reunited at every moment,

Not all times do sun and moon unite

nor will what passes us by return to us.

Nor can we regain what has taken flight

فَاِغتَنِم ساعَةَ اللِقاءِ فَما تَع

فَاِغتَنِم ساعَةَ اللِقاءِ فَما تَع

لَمُ نَفسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرضٍ تَموتُ

لَمُ نَفسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرضٍ تَموتُ

So seize the hour of meeting, for no soul knows

So seize the moment when we chance to meet

in what land it will die.

None knows on what soil his grave will be
